THE ROAD SO FAR
I didn't take the traditional route into filmmaking. These are some of the projects, collaborations and moments that helped turn a long-time passion into the work I do today.
01 — ADDICTION FOOTBALL
It all started with a GoPro, a laugh, and a 3:3 thriller at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
What was meant to be a joke video of Atlanta United vs. New England turned into the beginning of something unexpected. Two matches later, I was pitchside in St. Louis with actual media credentials, wondering how the hell I got there.
Three years later, that same journey has led to my biggest project yet — Football in Rio, an independent feature documentary exploring how football became the beating heart of Rio de Janeiro.
Six Degrees of Football
An Ongoing Collaboration.
My work eventually began taking me beyond my own projects.
In 2025, I started working with Wayne on Six Degrees of Football, editing stories filmed across Europe and beyond.
What began as editing developed into an ongoing creative collaboration — discussing stories, structure, filming and ideas, while bringing two different approaches to football filmmaking together.
That collaboration has since come full circle: Wayne is contributing to Football in Rio, helping tell the British side of a story I'm filming thousands of miles away in Brazil.

Drone photographs from my exploration of abandoned resorts in the Mexican Caribbean were featured in an article by The US Express, highlighting forgotten resorts along the Riviera Maya.
The article used multiple images from my exploration videos, including drone footage of Xpu-Ha Palace Resort and photographs of the former Club Maeva Tulum, both originally filmed for my YouTube channel Sascha Fox Explores.
The Sun
Footage from my exploration of Old Car City USA was also featured in an article by The US Sun, showcasing one of the world’s largest collections of abandoned classic cars slowly being reclaimed by the forest.
